Brian Walker wins the Tommy Cochrane Trophy an amazing fourth time in a row

Congratulations to Brian Walker on winning the Tommy Cochrane for a fourth successive season. This is a cup that has eluded Brian for many years and remained the only trophy missing from a very cluttered honours list. Like buses, you wait forever, then they all come at once!

In the quarter final stage Walker beat Black Swan's Dave Hodgson 21-9 before taking his second Swan scalp of the day beating Tony Derrick 21-14 in the semi. It has proved an excellent day for Almscliffe's Richard Briggs beating both Steven Walker and Martin Meechan 21-16 in the qualifying stages then beating Paul Donnelly 21-14 in the quarters. Briggs added yet another Wayside scalp to his belt by beating Mark Reynolds 21-13 in the semi.

The final went the way of the multi-medal winning Walker with a 21-14 victory
